Lighthouse youth meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays
The Youth of Lighthouse Church include the children of ages pre-k through fifth grade and the middle school ages through high
school. On Wednesday's our pre-k through fifth grade meet and the program has exploded. We have groups that are involved in
quizzing and general story time. We meet for story, snacks and Ms. Lisa's crafts. We also reward Jesus' little Jewels with Jesus
Jewels. This reward program rewards the children for accomplishments and good behaviors. They then can take their rewards to
Grandma Sue's Jesus Jewel Shop and turn them in for various prizes ranging from pocket notebooks to bicycles to Nintendo DS
game systems. This has proven effective in helping the children of Lighthouse Church succeed in being better individuals.
Our middle school and high school age groups meet on Thursday's. This group does a variety of things from missional outreach
works such as making care packages for our missionaries in the Dominican Republic, to filling over 1,000 Easter eggs for the Easter
egg hunt. The group has recently been studying the New Testament in a scaled down version of the Adult Bible Study and has seen
how the Gospels tell the overall story of Jesus. Of course we still take time out to have a little fun too as we engage in a WII bowling
session or a little Guitar Hero challenge.
God is working in these ministries and if you would like to be a part of this magnificent opportunity as a helper or with your own
